SHAL Engineers was established in the UK in 1988 with a clear objective: to build a specialist mechanical engineering company capable of delivering demanding and innovative engineering projects. Since then we have developed a highly skilled team of mechanical design engineers with extensive experience across many industrial sectors.

Our team
Our Derbyshire workforce was carefully assembled from experienced, hand-picked engineers known to the company directors through many years in the UK engineering industry, giving us a strong foundation of technical expertise, reliability and practical engineering knowledge.
A complete in-house service
Unlike many organisations of our size, we provide a fully in-house engineering service with capabilities usually found only in much larger companies: mechanical design, fabrication, machining, assembly, installation and commissioning. That lets us deliver complete turnkey projects under one roof.
Installation and commissioning are a major part of our work. We undertake equipment relocation, redesign, modernisation and full turnkey delivery, tailored to each customer, and we also provide inspection, site survey and reporting services, including specialist work such as underwater inspections where required.
